Meet our founder: Dan Morrell
Dan Morrell is the founder and CEO, a serial entrepreneur, environmentalist and known for being one of the founding fathers of the sustainability movement. Dan authored the Balance peer-reviewed methodology that combines three pillars: biodiversity, social economics, and climate, charting a new path for businesses and people to address the impact of their hard-to-avoid emissions.

Plan Vivo
Carbon quantification remains with existing recognised standards, independently of Balance. However, because Balance is a methodology rather than a standard, it has the unique ability to upgrade existing standards. Through our Six-Point Legal Framework, Balance converts traditional carbon credits into Balance Units. This includes recognised standards such as Plan Vivo, which continue to independently quantify and issue the underlying carbon credits.
Woodland Carbon Code
The Woodland Carbon Code is the UK standard for climate change mitigation via woodland projects, ensuring transparency and long-term carbon storage. Every Balance project in the UK meets this code and builds on it by creating additional biodiversity and socioeconomic impact.
